In class exercises

In class, until our guest photographer is ready to speak to us (at about 7:30), please read and work on the following exercises in the Photoshop CS5 book:

*Use your most current homework photos from this week for the exercises (STREET PHOTOGRAPHY).  Choose which ones you will edit and choose a different one (or more) photo for each exercise, and post the before and after to your photo blog.  The point is that I want to see the work done on at least one photo (before and after) for EACH exercise below.

Beginning on page 205 (Chapter 13) in the Photoshop CS5 text book:

Correcting tonal values using a Levels adjustment layer (p. 206)

Applying a Brightness/Contrast adjustment (208)

Applying a Photo Filter adjustment (209)

Correcting over- or underexposure (210)

Dodging and burning small areas (211)

Converting layers to grayscale via a Black & White adjustment (212)

Applying a Vibrance adjustment (214)

Applying a Color Balance (217)

Applying a Hue/Saturation adjustment (219)

Finish and post as many exercises/photo edits as you can in our first hour of class today (10/17).
